Oh My does'nt time fly when you are having fun, I cannot believe the last time I got myself on here, not good at all.

Now that our house hold is settling down after our move and our daughter is settled into boarding life very very well, it must be my time to get on here and lets keep you updated with whats happening at scrapbook corner.

Sum of you may know now but for those of you that don't we have taken over the scrapbooking shop in masterton formely known as Bee Haven, we have branded it to our know name Scrapbook Corner, we had it painted with new signage which went up the day we reopened it.
So if you are down in Masterton at all call in and say hi to Babara & Judy.

Do check in later for deatils of our retreat on the 19th -21st March 2010 so pencil book them in.

9 weeks till christmas

Well we all know its only 9 weeks till christmas and I was at the shop today looking at all the kaiser craft christmas range thinking it must be time to get sorted on christmas presents ye ha.

The new Kaiser craft ranges are just beautiful so check them out.

They have been selling very well so lets hope we can get some samples on here for you to have a look at.

What a great long weekend

What a great long weekend we had. We headed off on Thursday afternoon to Tauranga for the night then through to Whangarei to stay with Roger's Son and family, he's got 3 beautiful grand daughters Breeze (3) Katiya (2) and Roxy (1). Roger had a great time at the park and he did'nt even get stuck going down the slide. We then headed back to Hamilton on the sunday, returning home today to relax before we head back to work tomorrow.

Where does the time go, I heard a lady in McCafe today saying there's only 9 weeks till christmas, so that means I will be getting out the christmas decorations for the house and the shop, much to Hana's and Roger's dismase.

Will just have to leave this here and come back later its time to get Dinner ready for everyone.

Scrapbook Corners Retreat!!

We sure had a AWESOME time at the first ever Scrapbook Corner Retreat at the weekend.We all meet at Stoneycreek Camp just 20 minutes away from Taradale.

Janine and Roger put on a great time for everyone!We were all warmly welcomed and showed our cabins.Then we got stuck into our passion......Scrapbooking....painting...drawing!!!!!And Talking!!

Checkout the beautiful view.It is such a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere!

We were treated like Queens.Mark and his team treated us to beautiful and health food.Endless food.It just kept coming at us.And we had NO dishes to do!!NO cleaning!!Queens I tell you!!

Spellbinders class - Date to be arranged

Well I've been having a whole lot of fun playing with the sunflower spellbinders dies. What an awesome set this is - there are so many different ways to make the flowers up. (and they all look gorgeous). I've made these samples up and if you are interested in doing a class just leave a comment here or let Janine, Jo or Tracey know in the shop. There are more details on the Scrapbook corner web page (although the date is down as the last Saturday in September it is subject to negotiation).

Spellbinders Class - Saturday 05 September

Make a gift box and three funky cards suitable for friendship, boys, girls or masculine cards (depending on the stamps you bring) using the spellbinders nestabilities squares.

You can see the actual cards we will be making (and a couple of variations) in the shop from Saturday 15 August.

For this class you will need to bring
■ Paper trimmer,
■ Black ink (prefer dye or stazon),
■ Scissors,
■ Score-pal or other method of scoring lines at measured intervals,
■ Double sided tape,
■ Foam squares (or foam tape which has been pre-cut into squares before the class).

And to make the class run smoothly you can bring (if you have)
■ Small stamps (I used a heroarts sparkly set) and acrylic block if needed,
■ Cuttlebug – plates A,B,B,C,
■ Tan embossing mat,
■ Shim – which is 2 pieces of A5 card,
■ Spellbinders square nestabillities (all four sets will be used together).

The idea of The Freeze Frame came from the scrapbookers at the Hobby Shoppe in Winner, S.D. While at late nite crops, after working for a long time on a detailed page, sometimes the design would be lost while trying to afix the layers & embellishments. Thus was born The Freeze Frame & when teamed up with Karan at Magic Mesh it was finalized.

Come on into the shop and check it out - if your pages sometimes get mixed up when you are putting it all together and you can't remember exatly how it went - then this is the tool for you.
